How to Offline Apply the Recommaned WLS patch WDJ7(9438213) on Weblogic Server 10.3.2:

1. Download Patch 9438213 ( from My Oracle Support) which contains Smart Update patch WDJ7 for Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0

2. Extract the contents of the zip file (p9438213_10320_Generic.zip) to MW_HOME/utils/bsu/cache_dir
You would see the following files: 4D53.jar , NIXN.jar , XLXA.jar, WDJ7.jar, patch-catalog_16922.xml & README.txt

3. Be sure to rename patch-catalog_16922.xml to patch-catalog.xml , otherwise "Encountered unrecognized patch ID: xxx" would occur when applying the patches.

4. Apply the patch by running the following command:
    ./bsu.sh -prod_dir=/u01/Middleware/wlserver_10.3
-patch_download_dir=/u01/Middleware/utils/bsu/cache_dir
-patchlist=WDJ7 -verbose -install


5. The following commands be can run to view the report of applied patches:
     ./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=WDJ7
     ./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=XLXA
     ./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=NIXN
     ./bsu.sh -report -patch_id_mask=4D53
