How to Change Local Time Zone in Linux:

-- Simply replace /etc/localtime with the correct one by:
# cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Taipei /etc/localtime

-- Verification
# date

 
NOTE:
For Oracle DB Firewall, DO NOT change the time zone this way.
Instead, go to Oracle Database Firewall Administration Console to change the
Date and Time in the System tab
